Inner Beauty, True Strength, And The Blessed Life

In the beginning God made mankind according to His own image (Gen. 1:26–28):

And God says, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that is creeping on the earth.” And God creates the man in His image; in the image of God He created him, a male and a female He created them. And God blesses them, and God says to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule over [the] fish of the sea, and over [the] bird of the heavens, and over every living thing that is creeping on the earth” (LSV, emphasis mine).

Part of being God’s image bearer is ruling over the rest of creation as a co-ruler with God. The first man and woman were created to first receive God’s blessing in order to rule and reign on the earth, multiplying and filling the earth for His glory.

After the Serpent’s deception and man’s subsequent rejection of God, instead of inheriting a blessing, man and woman inherited a curse (Gen. 3:16–19). And as a result, instead of lasting peace and harmony in relationships, there is now perpetual backbiting, envy, jealousy, and every kind of evil driving a wedge between the children of Adam.

Praise be to God, He has sent His Son to become a curse for us (Gal. 3:13), so that we can inherit a blessing once again (Gal. 3:14). And now by faith in Jesus, men and women can be born again of imperishable seed in order to reflect God’s image and glory, not only in this age, but in the ages to come (1 Pet. 1:22–25).

In this week’s section of 1 Peter (3:1–12), take a look at what Peter has to say about reflecting the image of God in marriage (3:1–7) and in all relationships within the Body of Christ (3:8–12). No longer are the men of God to abuse their authority and rule as power-hungry tyrants (3:7), and no longer are the women of God to act as harlots and use their physical appearance to seduce and manipulate (3:1–6). Rather, all of God’s children are called to turn away from the evil thoughts and actions of the cursed inheritance of the Fall, and they are to instead act on their blessed inheritance by blessing others (not cursing) and pursuing peace with everyone (3:8–12).

Have you received Salvation from Jesus the Messiah? Time is running out. Jesus will return very soon. The signs of His return are everywhere in this crazy world we are living in. Please read below so that you can be saved. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. The Words below are directly from the Bible, so you can trust them.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all )is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:9-13)

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:9)

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

For those of us who persevere and do what Jesus says to do, we have this to look forward to in eternity: And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
